About me

Greetings, I am Abbas Sadeghi, the founder of the Basaamad Music Band, also known as the Basaamad Project. The name “BASAAMAD” (Frequency) comes from the Persian measurement of the number of times a periodic event occurs in a unit of time.

The Basaamad project began in 2008, when I released two singles, “Childish Dream” and “A Night,” along with two simple videos. The positive reception to these tracks motivated me to produce the first album, “The Growth” (Rooyesh), which was released the same year along with the music video for “Saaze Shekasteh.”

In 2012, I collaborated with my good friend Nima Najm to produce the second album of Basaamad called “Hesse Parvaz.”

After immigrating to Canada, I remained devoted to making music despite the many changes in my life. In 2025, I released my third album, “The Art of Not Seeing”. 

They always told us to pay attention, see everything carefully, nothing is missed. But I think that in today’s busy and boring world, things should not be seen. Sometimes the best way to move on is to ignore the scenes…I think this is an art in itself – the art of not seeing. 

This is also the name of Basamed’s third album: “Art of Not Seeing”
